Bake a moist apple cake in 6 steps
Tip :) Use a kitchen scale exclusively for our recipes and for measuring the flour.
- Peel, core, and cut the apples into small pieces. Immediately mix with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon, then set aside.
- Beat the eggs and sugar until creamy.
- Mash the banana with a fork and add it to the eggs along with the remaining ingredients (except the chocolate), then mix well.
- Gently fold in the apples and chocolate chips, then pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined baking pan.
- Mix the ingredients for the crumble topping by hand, but only until they are still crumbly. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the batter and bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for 50 minutes.
- Let cool, transfer to a cake plate, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
