Ingredients: for approx. 24 pieces

  • 155 ml milk
  • 50 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 230 g Ruut cassava flour
  • 20 g light rice flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg, size M
  • 125 g finely grated cheese, e.g., Gouda

PREPARATION:

Tip :) Use only a kitchen scale for our recipe and for weighing ingredients such as flour.

  1. Mix the milk, oil, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Finely grate the cheese and set aside.
  3. Mix the cassava flour, rice flour, and baking powder, add the milk and oil mixture, and mix well with a mixer.
  4. Add the egg and mix well.
  5. Then add the cheese and knead until a smooth dough forms. You can also use your hands to help with this.
  6. Form small balls from the dough and place them on a baking sheet either in a spiral or individually.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) with top and bottom heat for about 25 minutes until they are golden brown. The rolls only rise slightly, so you can place them close together if you want to bake them in a spiral.
